Account Deletion Policy

Citizens can register for an account on this Portal to submit grievances, track service requests, and apply for services such as birth/death certificates. This Policy explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data when you do.

Your account holds the information you provided at signup - such as your name, phone number, email address, and residential address - along with a history of grievances or service requests submitted through it.

You can request account deletion in either of these ways:

We will take reasonable steps to verify that a deletion request comes from the account holder before acting on it, to prevent someone else from deleting your account on your behalf.

Deleting your account removes your profile information - name, contact details, login credentials, and saved preferences - from the Portal within 30 days of a verified request.

Some information is not deleted immediately, or at all, where the Council is required to retain it:

• Grievance and service-request records already submitted through your account may be retained as municipal records for administrative, audit, or statutory purposes, even after your account is deleted. Deleting your account removes your ability to access or manage these records going forward; it does not erase the underlying municipal record where retention is legally or administratively required.
• Records subject to statutory retention requirements - such as those tied to birth/death registration, property tax, or other filings governed by the Rajasthan Municipalities Act, 2009 or related regulations - are retained for the periods those laws require, regardless of account deletion.
• Backup copies of Portal data may persist for a limited period after deletion as part of standard system backup cycles, and age out according to our normal backup retention schedule.
